The Hickory Foundation YMCA hosts the 25th annual Turkey Trot on November 21, 2026 at 701 1st St NW, Hickory, NC. The event program includes in-person running events, a youth fun run, and virtual "Phantom" options.

Registration for the in-person 5K and 10K opens on 2026-06-23 and closes on 2026-06-30. Youth Fun Run registration opens 2026-06-23 and closes on 2026-11-21. Phantom event registration opens 2026-06-23 and closes on 2026-11-21. Published registration fees are $25 for the 5K, $30 for the 10K, $15 for the Youth Fun Run, and $30 for each Phantom distance.
The Youth Fun Run is for kids ages 12 and under and takes place in the field behind the YMCA; parents are welcome to join. The Phantom 5K and Phantom 10K are Do It Yourself virtual events that allow participants to run or walk at any time and place that is convenient and safe. Examples given for virtual participation include running local 5K or 10K routes, around the block, on trails, multiple laps around a track, or on a treadmill.
