Hickory Foundation YMCA Turkey Trot
The Hickory Foundation YMCA will hold the 26th Annual Hickory Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the Hickory Foundation YMCA facility in Hickory, North Carolina (701 1st St NW). The event includes a Youth Fun Run plus timed 5K and 10K run/walk courses; maps are provided for the 5K and 10K routes.
- Youth Fun Run on the YMCA outdoor track (ages 12 and under)
- 5K run/walk course
- 10K run/walk course
Individual packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race, and team packet pickup is arranged separately for team leaders. Registration is open in advance and fees are non-refundable. A Youth entry fee of $15 applies for ages 1 to 12; adult fees vary by registration date. A Phantom Runner option allows participants to complete a 5K or 10K at any location and includes a race t-shirt in that registration.
Awards are given for overall top finishers and age divisions. Overall male and female winners in the 5K and 10K receive a turkey and a trophy. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each gender and selected age groups; a special edition Turkey Trot glass is given to participants age 20 and older.
