Hickory Foundation YMCA Turkey Trot
The Hickory Foundation YMCA will hold the 26th Annual Turkey Trot on November 21, 2026 at the Hickory Foundation YMCA campus in Hickory, North Carolina. The event includes multiple race options and a youth track run behind the YMCA.

- 5K
- Youth Fun Run (ages 12 and under, on the YMCA track)
Registration is available in tiered periods for the 5K and 10K with increasing entry fees through race day. Youth entry for ages 1–12 is listed at $15. A Phantom Runner option is offered for participants who prefer to run or walk on their own at a convenient location; the phantom registration fee includes a race t-shirt. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Individual packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race and team packet pickup is handled separately prior to the event. Race day registration is also offered.
Awards and recognition are provided across overall and age group categories. A turkey and trophy will be presented to the top male and female in both the 5K and 10K. Medals are awarded to top three finishers by gender and age division, with a special edition Turkey Trot glass for participants age 20 and older. Custom pint glasses are listed for top finishers in multiple adult age groups, and medals are specified for the youngest divisions. There is special recognition for the oldest male and female participants.
