39th Annual Run/Walk/Bike
The 39th Annual Run/Walk/Bike takes place at Mike Weir Park in Bright's Grove, located east of Sarnia, Ontario. Since 1987, this Father's Day event has featured a variety of athletic activities on a flat, fast route along Lakeshore Road.
The event offers several distances and categories for participants:
- 10 km professionally chip-timed road race
- 5 km professionally chip-timed run
- 5 km scenic walk
- 7 km bike ride
- Free children's adventure course
All registered participants and volunteers receive a pancake and sausage breakfast. Spectators may also purchase breakfast on-site. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option allows individuals to complete their chosen distance from any location.
Proceeds from the event support the Huron House Boys' Home, focusing on youth mental health within the local community. Kit pickup is organized on the Friday and Saturday prior to the event at Lambton Mall in Sarnia. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
