39th Annual Run/Walk/Bike
The 39th Annual Run/Walk/Bike, also referred to as the Boys' Home Run, is held at Mike Weir Park on Lakeshore Road in Bright's Grove, Sarnia, Ontario. The event has run since 1987 and traditionally takes place on Father's Day.
Offered event distances and formats:
- 10K timed road race (chip-timed)
- 5K timed race
- 5K walk
- 7K bike ride
- free children's adventure course
Paid participants and volunteers receive a pancake and sausage breakfast; additional spectator breakfasts are available for CA$5 with vouchers added to participant kits. A virtual participant option lets people take part remotely; virtual entrants receive a cotton t-shirt, may join a team, and can pick up the shirt or pay for shipping.
All proceeds remain in the local community to benefit youth through Huron House Boys' Home. At the time provided, CA$1,933.39 has been raised toward a CA$20,000 goal. Kit pickup is scheduled at Lambton Mall in the promo court in front of Bath & Body Works on Friday June 19 and Saturday June 20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
