Heron Challenge
Heron Challenge is a six hour multi-lap trail event held at Blackpit Farm, Stowe, MK18 5LJ. The course will use woodland and farmland on the site and the final route is to be confirmed before the end of the year. Runners complete as many 3.3-mile laps as they wish within the six hour time limit; one lap is just over 5k, a half marathon requires four laps and a marathon requires eight laps.
The venue has free parking, an on-site cafe and a toilet block near the event headquarters. Blackpit Farm hosts several businesses on site, including Flo Wellbeing which operates an open-water lake, sauna, cold plunges and hot tubs; event entrants may be offered early access to Flo Wellbeing sessions on the day but places are limited and bookings are outside the event organiser's control.
Entry uses tiered pricing with an additional charge for unaffiliated entrants and a permanent discount option available via the Big Bear Brigade. There is an optional fundraising link during sign up for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Canicross is not allowed; rucking is permitted.
