Heroes Run 10K, 5K, 1 Mile and Kids Run : Pompano Beach
The Heroes Run is a community-based benefit race held on November 28, 2026, in Pompano Beach, Florida at 222 N Pompano Beach Blvd. The event raises funds for organizations that provide mental health and support services for South Florida first responders and their families.
The event program includes multiple distances and a free community kids run:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Free Community Kids Run
The 5K and 10K courses will be certified. Participants will include members of the local running community, as well as first responders from police, fire rescue, ocean rescue, military, and related services. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and spectators from across the region.
All proceeds are donated to 501(c)(3) organizations that assist first responders and their families. Beneficiary organizations named for this event include South Florida First Responders Foundation; Stomping Out the Stigma; First Responders Foundation (Florida Chapter); Broward County Sheriff's Foundation; Pompano Beach Fire Rescue Benevolent Association; and Pompano Beach Ocean Rescue Benevolent Association.
