Heroes of All Kinds 5K
Heroes of All Kinds is a running and walking event held at Courthouse Square in Scranton, PA on May 16, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes organized races and a walk on the same date.

- 5K Walk, 3.1 miles
- Virtual 5K Run or Walk, virtual event
Registration fees vary by age and timing. Pre-registration fees are $25 for participants aged 15 and older and $10 for children 14 and under. Race day fees increase to $30 for participants 15 and older and $15 for children 14 and under. Registration opens January 19, 2026 and closes March 20, 2026 for the listed events. Race day registration is held at Courthouse Square.
Pre-race packet pickup is available for pre-registered participants at Scranton Running Company on Friday, May 15 from 12:00 to 18:00. The first 200 participants to register will receive custom arm sleeves, and the first 200 finishers will receive challenge coins.
Awards are planned by overall and age categories. Special awards will be given to the first overall male and female and to the top overall male and female master athletes. The top three male and female finishers in each age group will also receive awards. Age divisions start at 9 and under and continue in multi-year brackets up to 70 and older.
