HERO 5K Run/Walk, Massillon OH
The HERO 5K Run/Walk is a looped 3.1 mile course along 13th Street in Perry Township on Monday, May 25, 2026. The event is held in Massillon at Perry High School and is presented in conjunction with the Perry Township Flags of Freedom and the Perry Project Group. This edition is the twelfth year of the event.
Registration includes a standard fee structure with special age group pricing for ages 1 to 17. A higher fee applies for race day registration. T shirts are available in Youth Small through Large and Adult Small through 3X Large; a no shirt option carries a $5 discount and T shirts will be limited after May 10. All participants receive a medal; a no medal option is available for a $5 discount.
Packet pickup is available on race day at Perry High School. The 5K course starts on 13th Street by the Perry Township Police Department and finishes at Perry High School, 3737 13th St SW, Massillon OH 44646.
Awards are structured to avoid duplicates. Overall awards are given to three male and three female finishers. Age group awards are given to three male and three female finishers in each listed age group, and single awards are offered in several specialty categories including military, fire and EMT, law enforcement, and two wheelchair divisions.
