Heritage Days Fall 5K & 5 Mile
The Heritage Days Fall event on September 19, 2026 takes place in New Richmond, Wisconsin, using the Heritage Center at 1100 Heritage Dr as the start and finish location. The event is part of the Heritage Days weekend and benefits the Heritage Center and its educational programs.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles) out-and-back on paved city trails
- 5 Mile course on paved trails with a water stop halfway
Courses are marked with orange arrows. Course marshals will be stationed at major turns, police will be present at major intersections, and an ambulance will perform a sweep. Timing is chip based by MTEC Events and results are available through MTECRESULTS.COM.
Packet pickup is available Saturday morning or Friday evening at the Pavilion spaghetti dinner from 4:30 PM to 7 PM. Long sleeve cotton blend T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before the deadline. Registration fee listed in event materials is $30.00.
Awards are given in 10 year age increments; first place in each age group receives a pie, and second and third place receive barn bucks usable at the flea market the same day or on a return visit. Many door prizes follow the run and winners must be present to claim them. The Heritage Days Family Festival runs alongside the event with a farmers market, flea market, vendors, exhibits, a petting zoo, stagecoach rides, food, and other activities.
