Event Details
The Heritage Days Fall 5K & 5 Mile is a run or walk event taking place in New Richmond, Wisconsin, in autumn. The course uses a paved trail system and rural country roads. The event features two distances:
- Heritage 5K - an out-and-back course.
- Heritage 5 Mile - a loop course.
Race Information
The race starts and finishes at the Heritage Center during the Heritage Days weekend. The course is marked with orange arrows and has course marshals at major turns. Police are present at major intersections, and there is an ambulance sweep. The event is chip-timed by MTEC Events, with results available immediately after the race.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Heritage Center and its educational programs.
Additional Information
Packet pickup is available on the Saturday morning of the race or on Friday evening at a spaghetti dinner at the Pavilion. Participants who register before the deadline are guaranteed a long-sleeve cotton blend T-shirt.
Awards are given in 10-year age group increments. The first-place finisher in each age group receives a pie, while second and third place receive "barn bucks" to use at the flea market. Door prizes are awarded after the run, and participants must be present to win.
The race is followed by the Heritage Days Family Festival, which includes a farmers market, flea market, vendors, exhibits, a petting zoo, stagecoach rides, and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
