Event Overview
The Here and Now Project 5K for Today is a hybrid community event featuring a 5K distance for running, walking, and rolling. The seventh annual event supports the paralysis community, with proceeds funding direct outreach, support groups, and recreational activities.
Event Format
Participants can choose between two options:
- On-site event: Takes place at Rogers High School in Puyallup, Washington on August 9.
- Virtual event: Participants complete the distance on their own schedule between August 9 and August 16.
Location and Course
The on-site event starts and finishes at Rogers High School (12801 86th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98373). The course continues on the Nathan Chapman Trail.
Registration and Participation Details
Registration is available for individuals or teams. All participants receive a race bib, sticker, and t-shirt. T-shirt options include short-sleeve styles in unisex, women's, and youth sizes included with registration, with a long-sleeve unisex option available for an additional fee. Registration closes on August 7.
Packet pickup for on-site participants is available in two ways:
- Pre-race at Fleet Feet (115 S Meridian, Puyallup) on August 8 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
- On race day at the Rogers High School registration area on August 9 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM. Virtual participants will have their race packets mailed to them.
