Herdy's Frontyard Ultra

Herdy's Frontyard Ultra is scheduled for Friday, March 13, 2026, at Herdsman Lake in Herdsman, Western Australia. The race uses a Backyard Ultra format in which participants repeat a 6.71 km loop each hour until only one runner continues. Each circuit must be completed within the hour to remain in the event.

Event details

A full day of loops illustrates the endurance format: 24 hours of the 6.71 km loop is noted as equivalent to 100 miles. The course around Herdsman Lake was the site of a new Australian record on this circuit in 2021. Volunteers support the event; volunteers receive a 20% discount on a future Ultra Series event (discount can be accrued).
