2026 Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids
The Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids is a fun run and walk event located in Docklands, Victoria. The event serves as a fundraiser for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. Participants can choose between two primary course distances, with various color-coded entry zones based on expected finishing times and activity types, such as running, jogging, or walking.
Participants can register for the following distances:
- 14.4 km Long Course
- 4.7 km Short Course
The 14.4 km Long Course includes a Pre-Qualified Entry Zone for participants who have recorded a sub-60-minute finish in the previous year's event or can provide equivalent official results. Other zones for the long course are organized by anticipated durations, ranging from under 79 minutes to over 120 minutes.
The 4.7 km Short Course offers zones for fast runners aiming for under 30 minutes, joggers, and walkers. This distance also includes a dedicated Family Fun Zone for those expecting to complete the course in 60-100 minutes. Provisions are made for participants with prams in specific sections of both the long and short courses, including the Yellow, Purple, White, and Family Fun zones.
The event starts at Harbour Esplanade and provides registration options for individuals, gift registrations, and specialized team creation for groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
