Event overview
HENRY VILAS ZOO - RUN WILD 2025 is scheduled for September 2026 at Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison. The event offers multiple race options and serves as a fundraiser for Henry Vilas Zoo and the Ol Jogi Wildlife Rangers in Kenya. Ol Jogi is a 58,000 acre wildlife conservancy in Laikipia, Kenya, that focuses on providing habitat for indigenous and critically endangered species and works with surrounding communities.

Registration opening dates vary by event. Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K run, 5K walk, and 10K run, and $30 for the Kids Fun Run. All participants who run or walk receive a Run Wild t-shirt.
The 5K and 10K start just outside the zoo South gate on Vilas Park Dr. The Kids Fun Run starts just outside the zoo North gate. Race packets may be picked up at the zoo Guest Services building beginning Friday, September 12, during the posted packet pickup hours.
Refer five or more participants to receive a refund of up to $35. All funds raised will directly support Henry Vilas Zoo and the Ol Jogi Wildlife Rangers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
