Henderson County Sheriff's Office STAR Camp 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run
The event is held at Rugby Middle School, 3345 Haywood Rd, Hendersonville, NC. It is a fund raiser to support the Henderson County Sheriff's Office STAR Camp. STAR Camp is a three day program that focuses on building relationships between deputies and rising sixth graders. Approximately 500 children will be invited to the camp. The camp is community supported and funded.
The run and fun run are non sanctioned trail events. A clock will be available on site, but official times will not be recorded. The event is planned to proceed rain or shine.
Distances offered:
- 5K on the existing cross country course
- 1 Mile fun run
The course uses Rugby Middle School's cross country layout and includes flat fields, rolling hills, and wooded trails. Entry categories and published fees include a $25 fee for the open 5K entry, a $15 fee for HCPS staff or student 5K entry, and a $15 fee for the 1 Mile fun run.
