The Helvetia Wine Run 5k is held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Helvetia Vineyards & Winery in Hillsboro, Oregon (23269 NW Yungen Rd). The main distance is a 5k run/walk open to ages 1 to 99. Registration prices listed include $30 for the 5k (youth price $25 for ages 1-20) and a $15 option for volunteer-and-run shifts (open to ages 21-99). The event is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing and results are posted online. The race supports the charity Nik's Wish.
Course and logistics
The course tours the vineyard grounds and includes uneven footing, rugged terrain and four hills totaling around 200 feet of elevation; trail shoes are advised. The site is habitat for about 30-40 elk. Registration includes a ring-spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10-year category (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, etc., through 80+); age group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible. Packet pickup is available on race morning only, beginning one hour before the event start. A virtual participation option and packet-shipping option are also offered.
