Helvetia Wine Run 5k : Hillsboro, OR
The Helvetia Wine Run 5k is a chip-timed run/walk held at Helvetia Vineyards & Winery in Hillsboro, Oregon. The course tours the vineyards with broad views and includes areas of rugged footing, four hills totaling about 200 feet of elevation, and uneven ground where trail shoes are advised. The site is also noted as habitat for 30 to 40 elk.
Registration includes a Super Soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and online posted results. A pour of wine is included for eligible participants. Timing and scoring are provided by J3 Timing; results are posted online.
The event offers a virtual participation option that allows packet pickup or packet shipment for remote runners. Packet pickup on race morning is available only on the day of the event and begins one hour before the first wave. Age-group awards are offered in ten-year categories for top finishers; awards must be collected on race day and will not be shipped.
