Event Details
The Helvetia Wine Run 5k takes place at Helvetia Vineyards & Winery in Hillsboro, Oregon. The winery is located in the foothills of the Tualatin Mountains, in the northernmost grape growing area of the Willamette Valley and about 25 minutes from downtown Portland.
Course
The 5k course is a tour through the vineyards, described as scenic. It includes rugged terrain with four hills and about 200 feet of elevation. The area is a habitat for elk, and trail shoes are advised due to uneven footing. Walking is allowed, and strollers are permitted but not recommended. The race is chip-timed by J3 Timing, with results posted online.
Participation
The event is open to participants aged 1 to 99. Minors are allowed, and the venue is family-friendly with non-alcoholic options. Dogs on leashes are welcome on the property. A virtual participation option is available, allowing registrants to complete the distance on their own and have their race packet shipped.
Registration Includes
Registration for the 5k includes a cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine.
