Event overview
Hellevation 26 is scheduled for 4 April 2026 in Grange Village, County Tipperary. It is Munster’s Backyard Ultra and part of the All Ireland Backyard Championship Series 2026. The race uses a repeat-lap format in which competitors must consecutively run 4.167 miles in less than one hour for each lap. Runners repeat these laps until only one competitor remains; the last remaining runner to complete a lap is declared the winner. A horn is sounded exactly on the hour and competitors who are not in the starting area before the horn for the next loop are disqualified. The course is fully marked and marshalled locally.
Entry and logistics
Entries open 1 December 2025 and close 25 February 2026. Entry is limited to 100 competitors. The minimum age to compete is 10 years or older. The entry fee is €90. Limited camping is available.
