Hellevation 26 : event details
Hellevation 26 takes place on 4 April 2026 in Grange Village, County Tipperary, Ireland. It is Munster’s Backyard Ultra and is part of the All Ireland Backyard Championship Series. Entry is limited to 100 competitors. The minimum age is 10 or older. Entries open 1 December 2025 and close 25 February 2026. The entry fee is €90. Limited camping is available.
Format, course and rules
The race uses a repeating-lap Backyard Ultra format. Competitors must consecutively run 4.167 miles each hour and complete each lap in less than one hour. A horn will sound exactly on the hour; if a competitor is not in the starting area before the horn for the next lap, they are disqualified. The last remaining competitor to complete a lap is named the winner. The course is fully marked and marshals will be present.
