Hell Mary 6 Hours - Watertown, TN
Hell Mary is a time-based endurance event held at 10010 Statesville Road in Watertown, Tennessee. The event uses a flat, one-mile loop on an open field with minimal shade and optional creek access near the loop for cooling. Each participant is assigned a designated 10x10 personal aid area.
Time divisions include:
- 6-Hour
- 12-Hour (Day)
- 12-Hour (Night) New for 2026
- 24-Hour
This is a no-aid course on the loop. No food, drink, ice, gear, pacing, or assistance is allowed on the course itself, and no handoffs while moving are permitted. Receiving aid anywhere outside a designated aid area results in immediate disqualification; this rule applies to runners, ruckers, friends, family, and crew. There are no volunteers on the course.
Two separate HardRuck divisions run in 2026: a rucking division and a weighted vest division. Weight standards (dry weight) are 20 lbs for participants over 150 lbs and 10 lbs for participants under 150 lbs.
Timing uses a new chip system and all participants must wear a bib in the front so the backup system can read the number. Parking is outside the field with drop-off allowed before parking near the house. Camping and campers are permitted, portable toilets and running water are available, electricity is not provided, generators must be kept away from crowds, and contained fires are allowed in a fire pit. Dogs are allowed if well behaved and do not chase horses. Belt buckle and award options, including optional 100-mile belt buckles, are available with stated eligibility and fees.
