Hell Hath No Hurry
Hell Hath No Hurry is a looped trail race at Settlers Cabin Park that offers several distance options and a community-focused race day. The event accepts a range of participants, from first-time trail racers to ultrarunners aiming to complete 50 miles. Runners use a scenic 10K loop through the park.
The start and finish are at the Cayuga Shelter near a playground, which provides space for spectators and families. The course is primarily single track with hills, roots, mud, and natural terrain, with minimal road crossings. Course direction may change during the event and runners are expected to follow trail blazes.
Distances and loop counts:
- 10K - 1 loop
- 30K - 3 loops
- 50K - 5 loops
- 50 Mile - 8 loops
Aid stations include a main station at the start and finish offering water, electrolyte drink, PB and J, chips, pretzels, candy, salt tabs, and other trail snacks; gels are not guaranteed. A halfway station provides water, electrolyte drink, and a variety of food options. Fifty mile runners pass their vehicles each lap and may use personal gear; 30K and 50K runners may set up a small personal aid area at the start and finish.
A post race cookout serves hamburgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, picnic style sides, and cold beverages with beer available for those 21 and older. Awards are given to top male and female finishers in each distance, and all registrants receive custom technical socks and a hand crafted finisher award upon completing their registered distance. General rules include keeping the park clean, respecting others, and following race instructions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
