Hell Creek 100 - October 30 to November 1, 2026
The Hell Creek event takes place near Sylvan Grove, Kansas at the Switchgrass trail head on the Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail inside Wilson State Park (GPS N38°54.965 W98°30.549). The program includes multiple distance options run on a marked, rugged single-track trail with open views of Wilson Lake.

Courses are organized as 20-mile loops: one loop for the 20 miler, three loops for the 100k, five loops for the 100 miler, and seven loops for the Pure Hell 140. Elevation gain by distance is provided for each race. Two manned aid stations serve the loop: the start/finish area and "Hell Hill." There is one unmanned water station at mile 5 and a maximum waterless stretch of about 6.25 miles. Aid station food includes vegan options and some hot items at night.
Race rules note pacer and crew limits: pacers are allowed only for the 100 miler and Pure Hell 140 after roughly three laps; crew access is restricted to the two manned aid stations. Drop bags are allowed at both manned stations. Minimum age is 18 and a Kansas State Park pass is required. The event has a Halloween theme with a costume contest and specified costume rules for entries on Halloween. No refunds and no bib transfers apply.
