Hell Creek 100 : event overview
Hell Creek 100 is a series of looped trail races held at the Switchgrass Mountain Bike Trail in Wilson State Park near Sylvan Grove, Kansas. The course uses 20 mile loops on rugged single track with few trees and abundant views of Wilson Lake and the state park. GPS coordinates for the start/finish are N38°54.965 W98°30.549.

Elevation gain figures are published per distance, with the 100 mile showing over 10,000 feet of gain and the Pure Hell 140 over 14,000 feet. The 10k is approximately 6 miles and uses a special marked cutoff.
Aid is provided at two manned stations: the start/finish area and Hell Hill, plus one unmanned water station near mile 5; the longest gap between water points is 6.25 miles. Aid stations offer food including vegan options, drinks, and some hot food at night. Runner tracking is available approximately every 20 miles, and professional photos are provided.
Rules note that pacers are allowed only for the 100 mile and Pure Hell 140 after three laps, crew access is restricted to the manned aid stations, runners must carry a means to hold water, participants must be at least 18, and a state park pass may be required.
