Heather's Home 5K
Heather's Home 5K takes place at Eldridge Park in Elmira, New York. The event includes an on site 5K run and walk, a virtual 5K option that can be completed off site, and a kids fun run for participants age 12 and under. The event offers both timed 5K entries and a shorter youth run.

Finisher medals for the 5K are reserved for the first 125 participants. Virtual participants receive a race packet by mail after completing their chosen distance; local participants may pick up a packet or have it delivered within a 20 mile radius. Race shirts are available for an additional fee. Registration covers domestic shipping for virtual packets and medals; additional fees apply for international shipping.
The Heather's Home organization began in November 2009 in Haiti and has expanded to include a second home in Ghana in cooperation with Love Aflame Worldwide. The homes provide abandoned children with a residence, education, family support and related services as described by the organizer.
