Hearts in Motion 5k Run/Walk

Event Overview
The Hearts in Motion event takes place in Zeeland, Michigan. It includes three formats: a 5K Run/Walk, a Flamingo Fun Run, and a Virtual Walk/Run.

Course and Timing
The Flamingo Fun Run is described as a 1.1-mile route. The 5K route is approximately 3.1 miles. Neither course is USATF certified.
The 5K Run/Walk will be chip-timed for participants who register in advance; in-person sign-ups on race day are excluded from timing. The Flamingo Fun Run is not timed, but participants receive a race bib.
Registration and Logistics
Registration closes on March 16, 2026, and reopens on March 17, 2026. For a guaranteed race shirt, registration must be completed by April 1, 2026. The shirts are short-sleeved and made of wicking material.
Packet pickup is available on Wednesday, April 29, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Compassionate Heart Ministries (404 Centerstone Court, Zeeland, MI). Another opportunity for packet pickup is on race day starting at 4:30 PM. Virtual participants must pick up their shirt at packet pickup, as shirts are not shipped.
The virtual run/walk option allows participants to complete their chosen distance anywhere, anytime between registration and May 1, 2026. This event is not timed.
Additional Information
Pets are not allowed on the course. The event does not issue refunds.
The 5K event features age group divisions spanning from 1-6 years old to 70-74 years old, with separate categories for male and female participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
