Heartline Donut Dash Walk/Run for Life 5k
The event is a charity 5K walk/run hosted by Heartline Pregnancy Center that starts and finishes at the Health Services Pavilion, 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw, IN, and follows the Lake City Greenway. The main distance is 5K, and the course is open to racers, runners, and walkers. The event is a timed race managed by Tempo Run Timing.
Net funds support Heartline Pregnancy Center's services and programs. Organizers list a fundraising goal of $30,000 and describe three fundraising options: donate during registration, raise funds as an individual (fundraisers who raise $200 or more receive a registration refund), or create/join a team. Donations are tax deductible. Registrants who donate or fundraise are entered into a prize drawing.
Participants who register by September 30 are guaranteed an event shirt in their size; registrations placed October 1 or later do not include a shirt but still receive swag bags and are eligible for prize drawings and medals. All finishers receive a finisher medal, and top three male and female finishers in each age category receive awards. Age categories are: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. There is also a Donut Dash Champions competition based on eating donuts at stations with awards for the top three male and female finishers; participants 10 and under are only required to eat donut holes.
Day-of registration is available at the Kosciusko Health Pavilion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
