Event details
The Heart Throb 5k is scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026. The event is a single 5k distance and is listed as a 3W Signature Event. The course is described as flat and fast and can be completed as a run or a walk. The entry fee is $39, which includes a $4 processing fee; the price increases after December 31, 2025. The race is an official BOLDERBoulder qualifier, allowing finish times to be used for BOLDERBoulder wave qualification.
Location, swag and charity
The event takes place at Johnny Roberts Memorial Park, 8001 W 59th Ave, Arvada, CO 80004, near Olde Town Arvada. Shirt sizes are offered during online registration and some sizes may sell out in the final days before the event. There is a $5 credit option for choosing no shirt. Size swapping or extra swag purchases may be available on race day at the registration tent.
The race partners with the local food bank Community Table. Online donations made with registration are directed to the charity, and an in-person food drive will be held on race day. Participants who bring five items to the food drive are entered into a raffle. Urgently needed items include canned fruit, peanut butter, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bar soap.
