Heart of The Rockies Fun Run
The Heart of The Rockies events take place in Invermere, British Columbia, at the northern end of Lake Windermere. The fun runs are part of a multisport weekend centered at Kinsmen Beach.
The distances offered are:
- 5 km
- 10 km
Both runs start in conjunction with the run-bike-run duathlon. The 5 km is one lap of the course and the 10 km is two laps. Aid stations are available on the course and food and refreshments are provided at the finish. Awards are presented to the top three men and top three women in each race.
Entry fees are listed as $45 for the 5 km and $55 for the 10 km. Registration includes race timing, awards for the top three male and female finishers in each race, and post-race food. Race package pickup is available at Kinsmen Beach park in the days before the event. Athletes may park at the tennis courts along 4th Ave just north of Kinsmen Beach.
