Heart of the Rockies Fun Run, Invermere BC
The Heart of the Rockies Fun Run takes place in Invermere, at the north end of Lake Windermere. The event is part of a multisport weekend and offers two measured road race distances.
Distances
- 5 km, one lap
- 10 km, two laps
Both runs start in conjunction with the run-bike-run duathlon. Aid stations are available on course and food and refreshments are provided at the finish. Awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers in each race.
Registration includes race timing, awards for the top three male and top three female in each race, and post-race food. Listed entry fees are $45 for the 5 km and $55 for the 10 km.
Race packages are available for pickup at Kinsmen Beach park on the days before the event. The start zone is at Kinsmen Beach and athletes typically park near the tennis courts along 4th Ave just north of Kinsmen Beach. Dogs are not allowed in the beach area.
