Heart of the Prairie Run

The Heart of the Prairie Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026. It is the first annual edition of the event and will be held at Blooming Soul Farm near Nickerson, Kansas. The event was postponed from an initial September 2025 date to the spring.

The event offers two distances:

Half Marathon
5k

All proceeds from the event support The Heart of MFB, a 501c3 organization. The funds are used to provide financial assistance to families in South Central Kansas who are undergoing medical treatment for birth defects. The organization also offers informational resources and support to families experiencing complications during pregnancy or dealing with birth defects.

Packet pick-up is available at Blooming Soul Farm on Friday, May 29 from 5-7 PM and on the morning of the race from 5:30-6:30 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
