About the race
FMZBC presents the 7th Annual Healthy Start Mind & Body 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run on October 3, 2026 at Occoquan Regional Park in Lorton, Virginia. The event promotes and raises awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease and highlights the role of keeping the mind and body active for healthier outcomes. Participants are also invited to support the Alzheimer’s Association through donations.
The event features two races:
- 5K
- 800 m Kids Fun Run
Both races take place on a paved course that follows the Occoquan River and offers scenic views through the park’s natural terrain. A DJ will be on site. After the races there will be an awards ceremony and a catered meal at the Occoquan Regional Park Pavilion.
Registration opens June 28, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00 for each race. The event location is 9751 Ox Road, Lorton, VA 22079, United States.
