Lake Sonoma Rosé Mile Downhill
The Healdsburg Running Company hosts the fifth annual Lake Sonoma Rosé Mile Downhill at Lake Sonoma near Healdsburg, CA. The event is a fun-focused, one-mile road course that is 100% downhill along Madrone to the water.
Participants gather at Liberty Glen Campground and walk a short distance from campground E to the start line. Along the course, runners stop at "Rosé Aid Stations" every 1/4 mile to hydrate with a pour of rosé before continuing to the finish.
The finish area is at Gray Pine Trailhead, where a breakfast party will be held and fresh snacks and additional rosé will be served. The event includes additional awards for Best Smile and Best Rosé-Inspired Costume. Proceeds benefit the Children of Vineyard Workers Scholarship Fund.
The description emphasizes the event format, course layout, aid station routine, finish amenities, and charitable connection. The tone is informal and social, and the event is presented as a casual, themed running activity rather than a traditional competitive race.
