Rose Mile Downhill at Lake Sonoma
This event is a one mile road race at Lake Sonoma in Healdsburg, CA, organized by the Healdsburg Running Company. The course is a 100% downhill route along Madrone that leads toward the water. Runners gather at Liberty Glen Campground and walk a short distance from Campground E to the start line. The finish area is at Gray Pine Trailhead where a breakfast party and snacks are provided.
The race designates a fun-only zone and includes lighthearted awards such as Best Smile and Best Rosé-Inspired Costume. Along the course there are Rosé Aid Stations placed every quarter mile where participants receive a pour of rosé before continuing to the finish. Proceeds benefit the Children of Vineyard Workers Scholarship Fund.
