Headbanger Half
Headbanger Half is scheduled for July 12, 2026 and will use a newly approved course in Summit, Wisconsin after permitting conflicts prevented final approval of the original Waukesha County route. The organizers changed the course location and secured approvals in Summit.
The event program includes these distances:
- 13.1 miles half marathon
- 13.1 miles half marathon early start
- 6.2 miles 10K
- 3.1 miles 5K
- 3.1 miles 5K ruck
- 6.2 miles 10K ruck
- 2 miles walk
- 0.5 miles Little Bangers
The Summit course is described as flat, fast, rural and low traffic. It includes shaded sections of the Glacial Drumlin Trail and passes near Laura Lake and Golden Lake.
Most events have registration opening on January 23, 2026 and closing on April 2, 2026. The Little Bangers registration window extends through the event day. Published registration fees include $40 for the Headbanger Half, $50 for the half marathon early start, $30 for many shorter distances and ruck events, and no fee for Little Bangers.
