Headbanger Half - Menomonee Falls, WI

The Headbanger Half is a multi-distance event held July 12, 2026, at Menomonee Park on the paved Bugline Trail, W220 N7884 Town Line Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. The event includes road and trail-style distances, ruck divisions, and a youth 1K.

The Bugline Trail course is paved, generally flat, tree-lined and offers shaded sections and stretches beside quarry views. The half marathon course crosses train tracks at mile 3.75; timing mats are placed on both sides of the tracks to preserve accurate results. The event is chip timed with a chip start and finish.

Aid stations are placed on course and will offer water, energy gel and Gatorade; aid stations may be self serve. T-shirts are cotton unisex; custom shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by noon on Friday, June 26. After that, shirts are available while supplies last.

All finishers receive a custom finisher item made from vinyl 45s with a lanyard. Overall winners and age-group finishers receive custom awards. The ruck divisions are timed but not competitive and do not have age-group awards; ruck participants receive a finisher woodle.

Parking is available at the park but is limited near the start and finish. A county park day pass or annual pass must be purchased online before the event.
