2026 Head for the Cure 5K - St. Louis
The 14th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - St. Louis is a community event held at Jefferson Barracks Park. This event serves as a platform to raise awareness and funds for the brain cancer community, including patients, survivors, caregivers, and their families. The 2026 edition continues the mission of supporting clinical research and local programs.
Available distances include:
- 5 km run/walk
- 100 meter dash (Kids Fun Run)
The event focuses on celebrating the courage and spirit of those affected by brain tumors. Funds raised through the race locally benefit the Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, as well as Path to Hope. Contributions also support various national brain cancer initiatives and education programs.
Participants and attendees can take part in several recognition ceremonies held during the event. These include the Keeping the Faith recognition for survivors, the Legacy of Love for caregivers and supporters, and the Healthcare Hero award for medical professionals. A memorial segment also honors the lives of those who have battled brain cancer. A group photo for brain tumor survivors is part of the morning activities.
