HBF Run for a Reason - Perth 2026
HBF Run for a Reason is a fundraising running event held in Perth on Sunday 24 May 2026. The event aims to bring participants together to move, connect, and raise funds for charities. The course runs along Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River) on Whadjuk Boodjar and includes city streets.
Distances offered:
- CommBank 3km, through the heart of the city, for families and first-timers.
- Specsavers 12km, a popular course with on-course entertainment.
- Brooks Half Marathon, currently sold out.
Event information covers the start and finish line, City of Perth bag drop, getting there, accessibility and inclusion, and spectator arrangements. Participants receive an official HBF Run for a Reason t shirt, a finisher’s medal, and access to on-course entertainment, hydration stations, and recovery zones at the finish line.
Fundraising is a central element. Across 14 years participants have helped raise over $14 million for more than 350 charities. The 2026 fundraising target is $2 million and the amount raised so far is $831,504. Official event merchandise is available with limited stocks, and HBF members receive a 20% saving on the entry fee.
