Haynes Apperson 5K 2026
The Haynes Apperson 5K is held at the Kokomo Family YMCA, 114 North Union Street in downtown Kokomo. The course departs from the YMCA, passes through Foster Park, UCT and Kokomo Beach, and returns on the Walk of Excellence Trail to the YMCA.
The event offers both a run and a walk, each covering 3.1 Miles. Early and late registration windows are provided: early registration runs from April 1 to June 1, and a late registration window runs from June 2 to June 19 with a registration deadline of June 19 at 11:00am. There is no day-of registration.
Registrants who complete registration by June 1 at 11:59pm are eligible to receive a short sleeve t-shirt. Shirt pickup is scheduled for Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 at the Kokomo Family YMCA. Parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the YMCA.
Finishers receive medals. Awards for the 5K run include top 3 overall male and female, overall masters male and female, and top 3 in age groups. Awards for the 5K walk include overall male and female and top 3 in age groups. Participants will assemble at the YMCA start/finish arch for event instructions; runners are positioned toward the front and walkers toward the rear. Walkers must walk the entire race.
