Hayden Sprint Triathlon
The Hayden Sprint Triathlon takes place at Honeysuckle Beach in Hayden, Idaho. This sporting event functions as a local non-profit fundraiser, with all proceeds from the event donated back to the local community. The competition is held on a single course with various registration categories for participants to choose from based on their competitive preferences.
Participants can enter as individuals or as part of a relay team. Relay teams consist of either two or three persons. In addition to standard age group categories, athletes may voluntarily select specific weight-based classifications for podium competition. The Athena category is available for female athletes weighing over 165 pounds, while the Clydesdale category is available for male athletes weighing over 220 pounds.
The event also features a dedicated Team Hoyt category. This division is managed by an organization focused on building self-confidence and inclusion for persons with disabilities. Team Hoyt participants compete as relay teams that assist a person with disabilities through the entire course. This specific category has its own medal classification and starts in the final wave of the event.
