Event Overview
The Hawk Indoor Marathon is held on a 200-meter indoor track at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Arlington, Virginia. The main event requires participants to complete 211 laps to finish the marathon distance. There is a six-hour time limit for the race.
Distances & Details
- Marathon: 211 laps on the indoor track.
- Half Marathon: 105.49 laps on the indoor track.
- Marathon Relay: Teams of three runners can split the total laps. Team members will hand off colored sashes during exchanges.
Additional Information
Runners will pass a water and sports drink station every lap. The race uses chip timing, which records lap splits and the final time, with manual lap counters also provided. Finishers of the full marathon receive a custom Hawk Indoor Marathon belt buckle. Cash prizes are awarded for the top three finishers in the full marathon: $100 for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third.
