Hawaiʻi Walk for Health : August 29, 2026
The Hawaiʻi Walk for Health is the third annual community walk taking place on August 29, 2026, at Neal S. Blaisdell Park in Aiea, Hawaiʻi. The event includes separate walking programs for adults and teenagers and for children; registration carries a fee of $20 for adults and teenagers, $10 for children ages 3 to 12, and children under 3 attend free.
The route is a predetermined quarter mile lap within the park, mostly on grass and on flat terrain. The course is well marked and includes guided signage and support stations. Along the route, participants will encounter inspirational and educational signs and community messages.
Organizers describe the walk as accessible and welcoming to families with children, kūpuna, and individuals with reduced mobility. After the walk, there are sponsor booths, opportunities for photographs, and music. The event raises awareness and funds to support initiatives related to health, immigrant rights, workers' advocacy, and cultural education.
The walk is hosted by five community-based organizations and includes additional partner groups. Host organizations focus on community engagement, public health, and advocacy. The format emphasizes community connection and visible support for local initiatives across the island. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
