Hawaii Kai Ultra Run XTreme 2026
The Hawaii Kai Ultra Run XTreme is a multi-distance running event held in Honolulu. The course consists of a 9-mile loop through Hawaii Kai, starting and finishing at Kalama Valley Park. Participants follow a route that passes Sandy Beach, Heartbreak Hill, and several community parks. Available distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 30K
- Marathon
- 50K
- 50 Miles
- 100K
- 100 Miles
The event offers flexible starting options. Participants can choose between scheduled wave starts in a corral format or a "show up and sign in" option at the start-finish tent. To qualify for HURT events, runners in the 50-mile, 100K, and 100-mile categories must select a wave start for official timing certification. The event is also a 50 States Marathon Club qualifier.
There are three aid stations along the loop, located approximately every 2.5 miles at Kalama Valley Park, Kamilo'iki Community Park, and Hahaione Neighborhood Park. These stations provide water, electrolytes, and snacks, but operate as cupless facilities. Public restrooms are available at all stations, with 24-hour access at the start-finish area. All registered finishers receive certificates, medals, and stickers based on their completed distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
