Haw Creek Hustle
Haw Creek Hustle is the third edition of a community running event held on May 16, 2026 at Charlie Bullman Park, 719 New Haw Creek Road, Asheville, NC. The event is hosted by the Haw Creek Community Association and benefits community association projects and the restoration of Charlie Bullman Park by the Western North Carolina Youth Sports Association.
Distances
- 5K - counter-clockwise on mostly quiet roads in Haw Creek
- Fun Run - around Charlie Bullman Park and Evergreen Charter School trails
All races start and finish at Charlie Bullman Park. The 5K course has one water station about halfway. Volunteers will staff turns and signs will mark every turn; police will be present at key intersections. Participants are asked to stay to the right side of the road and to run alone whenever possible.
Race services include chip timing with chips attached to the back of the race bib and instructions to wear the bib on the front. All 5K runners receive a custom race shirt; Fun Run participants receive a fun prize. Shirts are ordered on May 6 so registrations after that date may not receive a shirt or preferred size.
Additional notes: packet pickup and late registration take place at Charlie Bullman Park on race day, two large park parking lots are available, well behaved dogs on short leashes with current tags and vaccinations are welcome, and the event has a no refund no deferral policy. Water and light snacks will be provided near the finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
