Haunted Heroes Half Marathon - Long Beach
The Haunted Heroes event in Long Beach on Saturday, October 3, 2026 features multiple race distances on the Belmont Shores beach path. The course is an open course on the beach path and will be marked; participants are asked to be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
The route uses out and back loops on the beach path. Distances offered:
- 5k
- 10k
- 15k
- Half marathon (three 4.36 mile loops)
An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start and finish and offers water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results upon finishing, free photos searchable by bib, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking, Ascend Crew tracking, the A Better World Running app, and a selection of snacks and samples. Group discounts for three or more participants are applied through the registration platform.
There is a no refund policy; transfers are allowed only by request. The half marathon has a 3 hour 15 minute time limit. Parking is free in the residential area; a nearby beach parking lot requires paid parking via ticket machine or the Passport Parking app (zone 9372). The event location is Belmont Shores, 5400 E.
