The Haunted Halloween Half Marathon & 5km takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Chicago, IL. The event is based at Diversey Event Space in Lincoln Park, across the street from the Notebaert Nature Museum, at 2611 N Cannon Drive, Chicago 60614. The race offers the following distances:

Course, awards and logistics
The course runs on trails within Lincoln Park before heading south along the Lakefront Trail. The course is measured with every mile marked. Half marathon timing splits are provided at 5 km, 10 km, and 10 miles; the 10 km split is noted at the turnaround point at 6.55 miles. Every half marathon and 5 km finisher receives a H^3 medal that matches the bib and shirt.
A pre-race Costume Contest includes prize money: teams 1st and 2nd win $200 and individuals 1st and 2nd win $100. Age group awards use ten-year categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Packet pickup is scheduled at Xtra Mile Running and Fleet Feet South Loop, with on-site packet pickup planned at Diversey Event Space. Public transportation is encouraged; parking is available in the Chicago History Museum lot or along Cannon Drive. After the race there will be seasonal refreshments, Halloween candy, and a post-race party at Tin Lizzie with a complimentary beer and a 20% food discount.
