Haunted Half Marathon & Relay - Kingsport, Tennessee
The 18th annual Haunted Half Marathon in Kingsport, Tennessee is scheduled for October 31, 2026. The event includes multiple race formats and a Halloween themed atmosphere with a costume contest held before the half marathon.
Race options include:

- Monster Mile (1 mile), family friendly
Packet pickup is handled at the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce on the two days before and the morning of the event. Certain parking lots such as Food City and the Farmers Market are closed to event parking; designated areas are marked for race parking and some roads and lots will be blocked. Shuttles will be available near the start and finish area.
The course will be marked with arrow stickers and blue signs; officers and volunteers will assist on course. Relay exchange locations are listed with trailheads near mile markers: Lamont Greenbelt Access (near mile 3), Holston Valley Drive Trailhead (near mile 6), and Boat Yard Landing Trailhead (near mile 9). Water for the course and post race is provided by Healthy Kingsport.
The Monster Mile is open to adults, kids, strollers, and dogs and will not be timed. T shirt designs include Monster Mile or Haunted Half options. Awards include top overall, masters, grandmasters, age group placings, relay placings, and best costume categories. A virtual entry allows runners to submit GPS tracked results and receive race items by pickup, mail, or local collection. The organizer has a no refund policy with options to transfer entries, switch to virtual, or defer; limited refunds before September 30 are subject to a service charge.
