32nd Annual Run the Tunnel
The 32nd Annual Run the Tunnel takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Natural Tunnel State Park in Duffield, VA (1420 Natural Tunnel Parkway, 24244). The event is a road/trail footrace of approximately 3.8ish mile distance. It is hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club and the Scott County Chamber of Commerce and is part of the State of Franklin Track Club's King & Queen and Trail Series competitions.
Registration, awards and participant items
Entry for the listed event is $20 and registration closes on April 24, 2026. Awards will be given to male and female winners in Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters categories. Age-group awards (three deep) will be given for both male and female in these groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Above. Awards are not traditional trophies or medals but are items based on the race theme for the year; the 2025 theme awarded handmade zippered shoe bags to winners. The 2026 race theme will be announced after the first of the year. All participants receive a race t-shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
