32nd Annual Run the Tunnel

The 32nd Annual Run the Tunnel takes place on April 25, 2026, at Natural Tunnel State Park in Duffield, Virginia. The event is hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club and the Scott County Chamber of Commerce.

The event is a road and trail footrace of about 3.8 miles. It is part of the State of Franklin Track Club's King & Queen and Trail Series competitions. All participants receive a race t-shirt. The posted registration fee for the race is $20.00.

Awards are presented separately for male and female competitors. Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters categories each receive awards. Age-group awards are given three deep for these groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & Above. Awards are not traditional trophies or medals; they follow the race theme for the year.
