Hatuma Half Marathon 2026 : Waipukurau
The Hatuma Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 20 September 2026 with the event based at Waipukurau Racecourse in Waipukurau, New Zealand. The event has been held since 1980 and is a long established community running event in Central Hawke’s Bay.

- Team Relay for Half Marathon and 10 km
The Half Marathon follows a scenic clockwise loop around Lake Whatumā on quiet rural roads. The course is mostly flat with an undulating section of approximately 5 km between the 10 km and 15 km marks. The 10 km follows the final section of the Half Marathon course and finishes at the racecourse.
Relay details: Half Marathon relay teams may include up to four participants; 10 km relay teams consist of two participants. Relay legs are approximately 5 km for some legs. Social and corporate relay categories are available.
Entries open Monday 27 July 2026. Early bird pricing closes 16 August 2026 and T-shirt orders close 28 August 2026. Every entry includes a marshalled course, electronic timing and official results, water stations, spot prizes, post-event refreshments, and a race bib.
