Course
The course goes through downtown Hattiesburg, moves toward the Avenues, loops around the Hattiesburg Zoo, and includes a portion on The University of Southern Mississippi campus. The route finishes by running along the Longleaf Trace. Local businesses and landmarks are incorporated into the course, and each participating nonprofit will "own" a mile to decorate and cheer on participants.
Registration, charity, and policies
Online registration opens Monday, October 13th. Listed entry fees are $90 for the half marathon, $50 for the 10K, and $42.50 for the 5K; charity runner and walk options have comparable fees. Charity runners fundraise for a selected 501(c)(3) nonprofit and commit to raising support for that organization. There are no refunds, but race insurance from an outside vendor is offered during registration. Sponsors named for the event include Hattiesburg Clinic, Visit Hburg, and Hattiesburgms.
