14th Annual Multi-Distance Race in Mississippi
The Hattiesburg Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k take place in downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This event serves as a fundraising platform for various Pine Belt nonprofits and attracts participants from across the United States. Runners and walkers navigate a course that highlights several local landmarks and integrates local businesses along the route.
Participants can choose from several distances and participation categories:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K (Run or walk)
- 5K Walk (Walking only, running is prohibited)
The route travels through the downtown area and the Avenues neighborhood, circling the Hattiesburg Zoo. The course also includes a section through The University of Southern Mississippi’s campus and utilizes the Longleaf Trace path leading toward the finish line. Each mile of the course is hosted by a different local nonprofit organization that provides decorations and support for the athletes.
Registered participants may choose to register as charity runners to fundraise for a specific 501(c)3 organization. These participants advocate for their chosen nonprofit's mission through social engagement and community outreach. The event location is centered at 201 Forrest Street.
Registration is available for both competitive runners and dedicated walkers. The organizers maintain a policy where no refunds are issued, though external race insurance is available during the sign-up period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
