Hattie's Day 5K
Hattie's Day 5K is presented by The Wildflower Legacy Foundation as the kickoff to a community event that supports children in the local area. The foundation, established in 2022, aims to provide experiences to children regardless of financial restrictions. The event includes an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K.
The in-person course is an out and back route on the bike path with the start and finish at the taproom located at 25 Campbell Street, Athens, OH 45701. Participants may use their own timing device if desired. The event begins with a dove release and a moment of silence to honor the event's honoree. At the conclusion of the 5K, the community will gather at Jackie O's Taproom for an afternoon of family activities, raffles, and remembrance in support of the foundation.
Registration details differ by entry type. In-person registration opens 2026-07-31 and closes 2026-09-14 with a fee of $30. Virtual registration opens 2026-08-31 and closes 2026-09-14 with a fee of $35. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
