Hatfield Broad Oak 10k
The Hatfield Broad Oak 10k is a road race held in the South East of England on Bank Holiday Monday. The event takes place at the Village Green and utilizes the local High Street, where spectators gather to provide support and water to participants. The race attracts a wide range of participants, from those new to running to experienced members of running clubs.
The event offers two distinct distances:
- 10 km road race for participants aged 15 and over.
- 1 mile Fun Run open to all ages, with medals for children.
The race day is held in conjunction with the annual Village Festival, which features various activities, stalls, and food and drink options. This arrangement provides entertainment for both participants and their families throughout the day. Adults can accompany children in the 1 mile Fun Run for free, though children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Logistics for the event include free parking managed by local groups. These parking areas are located within a short walking distance of both the race start and the village centre. Participants are required to collect their race packs in person over the race weekend, as no materials are sent via post. Registration is open to everyone, and the 10k race operates under a UKA license application. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
