Turbo Trot & Mini Road Race Rally
The Turbo Trot & Mini Road Race Rally is a fundraiser held in Geneva on September 12 at the Peck Farm North Trail and Stephen Persinger Recreation Center. The event includes three separate competitions and family activities.
- 2.5 miles Lightning Run (all ages)
- 1 mile Short Circuit Kids Race
A third feature, the Mini Road Race Rally, is for children ages 3 to 8 and uses battery powered ride on vehicles provided by the organizer. Participants compete in six lap heats and the top three finishers in each heat receive awards. Food and beverages are included for mini rally participants.
Entry fees and included items are listed for each event. The Lightning Run has a registration fee of $35 and includes an official Turbo Trot t shirt and one complimentary beer for participants 21 and older with valid ID. The Short Circuit Kids Race has a $27 fee and includes an official Turbo Trot t shirt and a participation ribbon for all runners. The Mini Road Race Rally fee is $30 for residents and $35 for non residents.
Awards for the 2.5 mile race include top overall male and female finishers and first and second place in each age group from 14 & under up to 66+. Proceeds support the Geneva Park District Scholarship Fund.
