Harvest 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon
The Harvest event is a running and walking competition held in Boston, Pennsylvania. This event serves as the flagship race for Team Brunazzi Events and takes place on a flat out-and-back course. The path consists of crushed limestone on a rails-to-trails surface that follows the Yough River. Water stations are positioned along the course approximately every 1.5 miles.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- 5k (3.1 miles) open to both runners and walkers.
- 10k (6.2 miles) open to both runners and walkers.
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) restricted to runners only.
The Half Marathon includes a specific time requirement, as participants must complete the course in 3 hours or less. Awards for this distance include finisher medals and recognition for the top three male and female overall finishers and masters. For the 5k and 10k categories, awards are provided to the top three overall male and female finishers, masters, and the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and older.
Event logistics include parking at the trailhead located on Donner Street. Participants who register early are provided with a shirt, while additional shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis for later registrants. The proceeds from this event benefit the Greenock/Mount Vernon PTO. For safety reasons, the use of headphones is discouraged and pets are not permitted on the course.
