Harvest 5K
The Harvest 5K is an annual event held at The Way International Headquarters in New Knoxville, Ohio. Scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, the event marks its sixth year and combines athletic activities with community entertainment. Participants can choose to walk or run the main course or participate in specific events designed for younger age groups.
The event features three distinct distances:
- 5K
- Quarter-Mile Fun Run (for ages 8-11)
- 50-Yard Dash (for ages 3-7)
Registration is required for the 5K distance, and those who register by September 24 are guaranteed a commemorative mug. The children's races are free to enter, though participants must be accompanied by an adult. For the 5K, cash prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers. Medals are also presented to the top three finishers in various age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over. Every child participating in the youth races receives a medal and additional gifts.
The day includes various amenities and side activities. A bounce house is available for children before and after their races. Post-race refreshments for participants include water and snacks, while hot chocolate and apple cider are provided throughout the event. In the evening, the venue hosts a free family-friendly concert, which is open to the public regardless of participation in the running events.
