Harvest 5K
The Harvest 5K is the sixth annual community running event held on October 3, 2026 at The Way International headquarters in New Knoxville, Ohio (19100 E Shelby Road). The event program combines a main 5K run or walk with two children's races and on-site family-friendly activities.
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 50 yards for ages 3 to 7
- 440 yards (quarter mile) for ages 8 to 11
Registration and participant items are specified for each race. The 5K has a registration fee of $20; registering by September 20 guarantees a race t-shirt with purchase. Packet pickup is located inside the food tent and will shift to the OSC warehouse if weather requires; signage directs participants to the east entrance. Packet pickup hours are 8:30 am to 10:15 am. Children's races are free; each participating child receives a race bib, a medal, and other small gifts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Awards include cash prizes for the top male and female finishers of the 5K and medals for the top three finishers in each age group for men and women: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over. Wierwille Road will be closed to traffic during the event.
Food trucks, hot chocolate, apple cider, water, light post race snacks, music, and other activities are part of the event experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
