Hartlepool Half Marathon
The Hartlepool Half Marathon is scheduled for 23 May 2027 at Hartlepool Marina. The event is a road half marathon of 13.1 miles on a mostly flat coastal course with about 200 ft of elevation. Organisers are preparing a new and improved route for 2027 that will be announced in due course.
Timing is provided with live chip timing. There is a strict three hour cut off for the half marathon, equivalent to a 13 minute mile pace. The event is not canicross friendly.
All finishers receive a metal medal, event merchandise, and snacks with a drink. Free parking is available for participants at Hartlepool Marina and the Royal Navy Museum, while public transport or walking are recommended where possible. The listed entry price for the half marathon is £30.
Participant feedback from previous editions has noted clear organisation and scenic coastal views, and has also highlighted issues to consider such as limited water provision on hot days and congestion in some early sections of the course.
