King of the Hill

King of the Hill is a last person standing endurance event in Pyalong, Victoria, running from 31 October to 3 November 2026. Competitors must complete a single 4.2 km circuit with about 300 m of elevation gain once every hour; any runner who fails to finish a lap within the hour is eliminated. The course features two major climbs and one very steep descent across predominantly grassy, uneven terrain with clusters of small rocks.

Each entrant receives a 3 m x 3 m designated rest and refuel area located near the start line. Support crew are allowed but only up to three people may occupy a competitor’s rest area at one time. The event provides on-site medical staff, live results tracking via the event app, professional photography, and an hourly livestream of laps.

Prizes include a grand prize of $20,000 AUD for the last person standing, category prizes such as $5,000 AUD for the last male and $5,000 AUD for the last female standing, and $1,000 AUD awards for fastest male and fastest female laps. Additional milestone and bonus prizes are also offered.

Participants must be 18 years or older. The race fee includes a race bib, GPS tracking, finisher medals with custom engraving, personalised photos, and access to on-site vendors. There is a $30 parking fee per car. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
