King of the Hill
King of the Hill is a last person standing endurance event held in Pyalong, VIC. The 2026 edition is listed as sold out and is scheduled from 31 Oct 2026 to 3 Nov 2026. Participants must be 18 years or older.
Competitors complete a 4.2 km circuit with approximately 300 m of elevation gain once every hour. Each hourly lap must be finished within the hour; failure to complete a lap or to beat the hour leads to elimination. The course includes two major climbs and one very steep descent over predominantly grassy, uneven terrain with clusters of small rocks.
Each athlete is assigned a 3 m x 3 m rest area near the start line. Support access includes up to three support passes and a maximum of three people in the rest area at one time. Tickets include GPS tracking, live results, a race bib and race pack, personalised photography, finisher medals with custom engraving, on site physio and ice bath recovery, and a three month subscription to the event app. Trained medical staff are present on site. Food trucks and other vendors operate during the event and there is a $30 parking fee per car.
Prize details list a grand prize of $20,000 AUD for the last person standing plus category prizes such as $5,000 AUD for last male, $5,000 AUD for last female and $1,000 AUD fastest lap prizes.
