Harpoon 5-Miler
The Harpoon 5-Miler is an annual running event held in South Boston. The 2026 edition marks the 25th anniversary of the race. The course takes participants through the streets of the South Boston neighborhood, beginning and ending near the Harpoon Brewery at 306 Northern Avenue.

Proceeds from the event support The Angel Fund for ALS Research and the Peter Frates Family Foundation. Since its inception, the race has raised over $3.1 million to assist in the fight against ALS and to honor the legacy of Peter Frates.
The event includes a post-race celebration at the brewery. This gathering features music provided by a DJ and refreshments for participants and volunteers. To register for the running portion of the event, participants must be at least 21 years of age. Spectators are also invited to attend the brewery celebration, with suggested donations going toward the partnered ALS charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
