Hardmoors 26.2 Wainstones Trail Marathon
Hardmoors 26.2 Wainstones is a trail race event held at Chop Gate Village Hall, Raisdale Road, Chop Gate (nearest postcode TS9 7JN, what3words: deflated.dressy.human). The event offers three measured race options with specified ascent and time limits. Entries are capped at 330.
Distances:
- Trail Marathon 28; ascent 5600; cut-off 10 hours
- Half Marathon 16.5; ascent 3630; cut-off 6 hours
- Trail 10k 9.5; ascent 1600; cut-off 4 hours
Mandatory kit is required for all distances. Marathon and Half Marathon mandatory items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and printed route map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle, spare long sleeved base layer and means to attach a race number. The 10k mandatory list includes a printed route description and map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle and capacity to carry 500 ml fluid. Failure to carry mandatory kit for the duration of the event will result in disqualification.
Races are not taped or signed; competitors must download and print route descriptions and maps and navigate themselves. Entries open in August 2025 and close 22 May 2026.
