Event overview

The Wainstones race day is part of the Hardmoors 26.2 series and takes place at Chop Gate Village Hall, Raisdale Road, Chop Gate (postcode TS9 7JN; what3words: deflated.dressy.human). The event is scheduled for Sunday 14 June 2026 and runs under an ARC permit (26/0033). Entry is limited (350 places noted) and entry fees are stated to include parking. All courses are circular routes starting and finishing at Chop Gate Village Hall. The races are not fully waymarked; competitors are provided with downloadable route maps, route descriptions and GPX files and must print or carry these materials for navigation.

Mandatory kit, time limits and rules

Time limits are: 10 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon and 4 hours for the 10k. Mandatory kit is required for safety and includes items such as a waterproof jacket with taped seams (marathon and half), hat and gloves (marathon and half), capacity to carry at least 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag or foil blanket, whistle and a means to attach a race number. The event is cupless at checkpoints; competitors should bring their own drinking cup. Dogs are not permitted in the races.
