Hardmoors 26.2 Wainstones Trail Marathon
Hardmoors 26.2 Wainstones is a day of circular trail races based at Chop Gate Village Hall, Raisdale Road, Chop Gate TS9 7JN, scheduled for Sunday 14 June 2026. The event offers three numbered routes that start and finish at the village hall.
- Marathon about 28.5 miles
- Half Marathon 16.5 miles
- Trail 10k 9.5 miles
Entries open for general participants on 17 August 2025 and close on 22 May 2026. The event has a participant limit of 350 and entry fees include parking or coach transfer if the field is flooded. Optional event t shirts are available for purchase.
Time limits apply to each route: 10 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon and 4 hours for the 10k. The marathon and half marathon require mandatory safety kit including a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat and gloves, capacity to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag, foil blanket, whistle and means to attach the race number. The 10k has a shorter mandatory kit list that includes a means to carry 500 ml fluid, printed route description and map, emergency survival bag and whistle. Failure to carry mandatory kit may result in disqualification.
Courses are not fully marked. Competitors must download, print and carry route maps and descriptions and may use GPX files. The event is cupless so runners should bring their own cup for checkpoints and for hot drinks at the finish. Prize categories are provided by gender and age group where entries allow.
