Hardin-Meade Endurance Run (31 Miler)
The Hardin-Meade Endurance Run is a 31-mile road endurance event starting in downtown Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and finishing at the waterfront park in downtown Brandenburg, Meade County. Entry is limited to 50 participants and registration is handled through UltraSignup with minimum qualifications verified.
Because the event takes place in a typical July summer month, organizers strongly recommend that entrants have completed at least an ultra distance (50K) or at least two full marathons. Each runner must be supported by at least one crew vehicle; multiple runners may share a crew vehicle but must start and finish together. Crew vehicles must be in good working order, display warning signage reading that runners are on the road, and keep warning or flashing lights on. Crew vehicles will provide support by leap frogging rather than driving directly ahead of or behind runners.
Runners and any permitted pacers are required to wear safety reflective vests for the duration of their participation. Pacers are allowed only up to the intersection of HWY 60 and HWY 313. A safety briefing will be held before each designated start and organizers will verify entrant qualifications.
