Hardin Meade Endurance Run (31 Miler)
The event is a 31 mile supported endurance run that starts in Elizabethtown Kentucky and finishes at the waterfront park in downtown Brandenburg Meade County. The field is limited to 50 participants. Registration is managed through UltraSignup and minimum qualifications will be verified. A paid registration option is available that includes a run logo shirt; a free no shirt option is also offered. Registration closes Thu, Jul 9.
Organizers require prior long distance experience and recommend that participants have completed at least a 50K or two full marathons. Runners must be accompanied by at least one crew vehicle that provides all required support. Multiple runners may share a crew vehicle only if they start and finish together. Crew vehicles must be in good working order, display warning signage about runners on the road, and keep warning or flashing lights on while providing support. Vehicles will operate in a leap frog pattern rather than following directly behind or driving ahead of a runner.
There will be a short safety briefing before the run. Each runner and any allowed pacers must wear a safety reflective vest for the duration of their participation. Pacers are permitted only up to the intersection of HWY 60 and HWY 313 and must run beside or behind the runner for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
